There are no provisions in the contract stating the release must be requested in writing.  The Lessee may elect to not pay the rental and allow the Lease to terminate without liability.  The Eclipse rep I spoke with yesterday indicated the release would be processed at expiration date of the contract.  I went through the same process with Gulfport by just making a phone call and they processed the release right away.  I suspect Eclipse will do the same.

Thanks!

The email you are sending out: would I be correct assuming you are sending to each and every member listed in the attached correspondence? I'm not directly affected by this issue. However, as a buckeye I consider myself indirectly affected. Also, our land is just west of Egypt Valley. We already have one pipeline running thru the property, and I would imagine no others will be installed unless they start drilling under some of this state land.

Salt Fork State park and I/70 are holding up a lot of drilling. They lease the minerals under those, then watch out. they'll be knocking on doors trying to lease,or extend leases again.

FWIW, I sent an email to all those identified.

MichaelWise@oilgasleasingcommission.ohio.gov bounced back as unable to deliver.

Theres a new well pad being built along rt 265. just east of Salem rd. Pin Oak Energy Partners has that lease. A new player to guernsey county? based in Akron,oh.No permit listed yet on ODNR's site.

They bought a lot of stuff from Halcon in Trumbull county and I think in Pa. as well.

It sure looks like the know what they're doing building a pad. the best of equipment, dozers , rock trucks ,compactors. not holding back on limestone. No signage, though. Had to do some investigating to find out who it was. They may be teaming up with another driller, those parcels were leased to quite a few different companies over the years. Carrizo,PDC,Utica Resources have wells close, Ascent maybe.

Thanks Bo.

The name of the pad is "Cunningham".

Anybody know that the State has opened up an Oil&Gas office at Salt Fork State Park? yea, looks like they remodeled an existing building by the Water plant . Put up new signs along main road directing you to office location. I cant think of but one reason to start up this office; they will be soon leasing their 21,000 acres for exploration?

That might well be a very good thing for a lot of people.
