Does anyone have an update on the Marchand Unit in North Mahoning Township.  One unit is producing and four additional permits are on the books.

Is there anything new with this pad and wells?  Is the Utica well still producing gas?  Any future drilling plans?

Several days ago I noticed a lot of equipment on the Marchand pad.   Looked like they were working on the Utica well, and the equipment included what appeared like a flaring tube.  Anyone know what is going on?

After reading this thread again today it brings back many memories of a discussion about the future of drilling for either Marcellus or Utica Shale gas in CPA both South & North.  It was an exciting time back then as activity was heating up for all of us.  Now it seems all the drilling is happening around the Beaver Run Reservoir in Westmoreland County.  New drilling has been stopped in the northern section of CPA.  Has the Marchand Utica well provided enough data to support a future drilling program?

Thanks to all the earlier posters for their input.  What`s next for us?

CNX has had great success drilling Utica wells around the Greater Beaver Run Reservoir area in Northern Westmoreland County.  How will that success transfer to the northern section of CPA?  How long will it take for CNX to drill out the southern section of CPA causing them to move out into surrounding areas?  Will CPA North be considered in those plans?  A recent newspaper article discussed how CNX wants to be a part of developing Geothermal Energy at the Marchand pad.  What does that signal for CPA North`s gas development future?

This was an interesting thread.  CNX had a lot of trials and tribulations with the deep Utica.  And now we seem to be at the point where the CEO of Hunley and Huntley (former Olympus Energy) is calling the deep Utica the new hot date to the Prom.  To the west, Penn Energy is codeveloping Burket Shale wells along with Marcellus wells.  claiming success (as a private company, much harder to fully understand).  Regarding CNX and the southern section I saw a recent analyst article questioning how many drill sites they had in the south.

Here is a link to a recent article  Deep Utica and Burket

Thanks, so what is next in Northern Indiana County for CNX or other gas companies?
