the first horizonal marcellus well permit has been issued to range rescources off rt. 417 near dempseytown venango county. work is scheduled to start this month. hopefully more to follow.

Good Luck. From what I read on the website. Only one well was permitted in Venango.

Permalink Reply by Michael Walentosky on May 25, 2011 at 3:07pm Perhaps they will drill a Utica well off the same pad at a later date? I have heard the well will be fracked sometime in June. Does anyone have any idea if active leasing will begin in the area if this well is good?
