Has anyone that was signed with NELA and then released tried to contact them and ask why?

They did call, my husband spoke to them. The letter also stated "unfortunately, the northern extent of the Utica Shale drilling has not been very promising for our group". "Some well respected oil companies have pulled out completely"  however they did say that with future technology we should have another chance, but by then our leases with them would have expired. So instead of holding properties until then, they just thought it best to release all now.

We were told our Mineral rights still hold significant value but it might take a few years.....

Thanks for sharing that information Helen and Melinda.

It will be interesting to see what the other 2 groups in Ash Co do.
