BMR replied to Ron Eiselstein's discussion '"Utica Shale area smaller than first believed"'
"Could be the smaller majors are giving out inflated numbers because they need to impress.  Seems like GPOR is playing with a double edged sword when they announce big numbers..  There stock price might go up but so does the leasing price…"

BMR replied to The Hiker's discussion 'Does anyone have contact information for an XTO landman in SE Ohio?'
"Janice, maybe you should stay on the sidelines in these conversations rather than give us news from several years ago.  But thanks for trying.."

BMR replied to mike's discussion 'Could this happen?'
"Yes, it most likely can happen.  The chances are not great being that you only have 30 acres and they would most likely have you in a pooled unit of 640-1280 acres, hence a greater chance the well site is elsewhere. Drill your water well up…"

BMR replied to Deb Hanneman's discussion 'Severed mineral rights - chain of deed'
"If they had a will, you need to look at that.  If the minerals are not specifically stated, the will should  have a residual clause.  If no will, look at your states intestate succession laws."

BMR replied to Billy Park Whyde's discussion 'Is this lease a joke?'
"Check the exhibit.  It's a non-surface lease."

BMR replied to Billy Park Whyde's discussion 'Is this lease a joke?'
"It's a non-surface lease and they are obviously drilling a vertical Rose Run well.  Can't justify more than 1/8th there.  I would sign that lease in a heartbeat."

BMR replied to Billy Park Whyde's discussion 'Is this lease a joke?'
"Looks like a good lease to me.  What's so shocking?"

BMR replied to John OBrien, landowner advocate's discussion 'Beck Energy Appeals Court Decision'
"There are many many wells in TX that have produced nearly 100 years and they have had continuous development over the past few decades and especially boosted such since the discovery of the Barnett Shale. If you are referring to the implied covenant…"

BMR replied to John OBrien, landowner advocate's discussion 'Beck Energy Appeals Court Decision'
"Jimmy, 1. "What was the intent upon signing those late 70's Clinton sand shallow leases ?" - They were probably titled "Oil and Gas Lease" not "Clinton Sand Lease."  An oil and gas lease is an oil and gas…"

BMR replied to Rich Koehler's discussion 'Free gas question - can't seem to get a straight answer from DOGRM' in the group Ohio Landowners
"If you own the well, you can sell or give gas to whomever you want.  It sounds like the well needs to be classified by the State as Domestic (DM).  I believe the well owner can request the classification change to the State at any time."

BMR replied to Ann Bentley's discussion 'Payment cancelled by Shell' in the group Guernsey County, OH
"I'm being told if you were part of the original group and on "the list," you WILL get paid assuming clear title.  Like Bo said, they may need to correct your description, etc. and then a short period to process and make payment."

BMR replied to Ann Bentley's discussion 'Payment cancelled by Shell' in the group Guernsey County, OH
"I'm not going to request a release quite yet.  For the mere fact that I'm already 7 months into my lease.  If/When I get paid, I'm looking at a chance of another $5k/acre in about 4 years already. I found it somewhat…"

BMR replied to Jane Loise Doe's discussion 'INvestors buying future royalities' in the group Belmont County, OH
"Hey the Browns had a decent draft.  Hmmm, where did you hear that $3,200 was the highest price paid in the Marcellus?  They reached the $5k and higher mark for sure in Bradford Co.  It's a helluva risk leasing at $5k let alone if…"

BMR replied to psychosid's discussion 'Smith - Goshen Group?' in the group Belmont County, OH
"Wouldn't the O&G Co. want that figured out before dishing out $5-6k an acre? Don't get me wrong, I hope the hard working people of this county get these prices and more, but I see both sides.  I heard Murray wouldn't work…"
