My family inherited shares in two oil wells in W. Virginia. We were contacted recently by the company with an offer to cap the wells. We were told of the potential of Marcellus gas being present. $100 per shareholder was offered. We don't know how the future of gas drilling and what further financial gains (if any) would be effected by our accepting of the offer.
