Welcome to GMS.com and the Marion County, WV group. This is a forum designed to help educate others about the Marcellus Shale Play Gas industry, and I think it's safe to say, we all wish we had known more about it before we signed leases.

But even if you are already signed, there is still so much to learn and be vigilant about as the industry rolls along. Currently there is an issue about "forced pooling" in our legislation that we all must keep out of WV. If and when they do drill and take your gas, you are going to want to know what to look for, whats kosher and what's not, education is power, there is strength in numbers, and you want to arm yourself with as much knowledge of the industry as possible to protect your rights, property and gas income.  This is a forum that will help you with that. Never hesitate to involve yourself in the forums that interest you, communication is the key to staying ahead.  ...and give us time, someone will try their best to answer your questions if they can.

Sincerely, Kit McGlinchey
