"Your assumption makes sense.  When referencing the Marcellus, NY shale seems to thin moving North.  I realize the Utica and Marcellus are different gelogical times and my commentary may be wrong."

"There is a factor that hasn't been considered.  Many of the old PA leases were oil only, therefore if gas was not reserved, you as the surface owner may be in good shape."

"Many land owner groups serve their initial purpose in assisting many with the lease particulars and payment.  They then disappear. Leasing is only 10% to 15% of the lease life cycle.  We all hope wells will continue to produce for decades…"

Yesterday I received a $204,000 lease bonus covering a property in Potter County. Have executed leases and collected bonus revenues in Lycoming and Susquehanna Counties.
