"ODNR finally released the 2012 production numbers for Utica wells. If you haven't seen it yet it's at http://oilandgas.ohiodnr.gov/production. Open the spreadsheet and all the producers and wells are listed. One well stands out for its oil…"
"Charlotte, I’m no expert on wet gas but here’s a simple way to think of it. Wet gas, also known as rich gas, is a cocktail consisting of methane (CH4) which is the dry gas fraction generally called “natural gas”, ethane C2H6,…"
"Rebecca, The plat map for the Henderson South 10-12-6 has a note #4 that may explain why the map does not show your land in the unit. Chesapeake will probably be bundling multiple Henderson wells into a 640 or 1280 acre unit that they haven't…"
Decline rates and EUR are modeled mathematically with empirical data as a guide. The Boy Scout well reservoir and likely many others like it contain multiple hydrocarbon fractions, each of which have unique temperature and pressure…"

Here's the basis for my own valuation "The well tested at a gross peak rate of 1,560 barrels of condensate per day and 7.1 MMCF per day of natural gas. Based upon composition analysis, the gas being…"

10 days ago, landman from Tri-Star Energy LLC, Parkersburg WV contacted me for a lease on my 154 acres in Nottingham Twp, Harrison Cty. He claims that Tri-Star is working for Enervest Energy Partners. He revealed little knowledge of the Marcellus formation, horizontal drilling or any technical aspects of the current Marcellus play. The lease agreement offered $500/acre for 5 yr lease. He was anxious to sign me up the same day when he presented the lease. I have since had an attorney review the lease with comments.

I am putting together landowners in that region to help with the marketing of the ROW, base price is $1.00 per foot times the diameter of the pipe x the number of pipelines....their should be a totally seperate agreement for the ROW, my company has successfully worked deals in both the marcellus and the utica plays, stick together and get your due.
What makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen.[ Read More ]
