yes Richard Rex Energys southwestern region consists of the properties owned by the company in Texas and New Mexico prodominatly located in the Permian Basin. the sale consosts of around 10,000 acres. the buyer of these assets is Adventure Exploration Partners, LLC of Midland, Texas theses assets were puchased for around $18 million. Rex sold these assets for part of there plan to focus there efforts on the Marcellus they plan on drilling around 10 holes in 2009 in this gas play. also to part of the asset sale is gonna be used in there Lawrence field ASP flood project in the Illinois Basin. i hope this helps you the Marcellus is a very hot gas play right now and i doubt very much if any company would recind its leases in this play. i am very familiar with oil and gas drilling ect.
