EQT bought my lease

EQT recently bought my lease from Ascent.  According to EQT, Ascent owe me an lease extension payment at time of EQT purchasing my lease.  How is EQT to work with?  What's my chances of Ascent paying me?  They had paid me on time for the previous 3 extensions.

Ascent said they don't owe me an extension payment due to it being held by production.  EQT called and said I should start receiving royalties this month or January.  I guess I'll believe it when I receive a check.
