In case some of you didn't read the Sullivan Review this week of March 3, 2010, the MARC I hub line is a go!

The article says that "Inergy will be sponsoring a "binding open season" to determine the final size and scope of the project in the next three weeks. Inergy expects to file a Natural Gas Act 7(c) application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for a certificate of public convenience and neccessity in the Spring of 2010 and anticipates the North-South Project to be placed into service by late 2011."

It also says, "The MARC I would open Sullivan County up to the extensive Marcellus Shale natural gas development that is being seen in Lycoming, Tioga, Bradford and Susquehanna counties as the producers would have access to a large interconnected pipeline system serving the major natural gas consuming northeastern United States."   For maps and information go to www.stagecoachstorage.com

To all of you in Sullivan County,  I live in Lost Lake Acres and they came through here to get our signatures on the pipeline.  They will be coming through here in August sometime to start the pipeline in State Game Lands 13.  They are supposed to bring trucks through our roads and straight into the back of Lost Lake Acres to State Game Lands 13 and then drive through Lake Makoma to come out.  That is at least what we have been told.  Does anyone know anything else about this happening and exactly when?  Thank you ahead of time for your information.

Hi Sandy if you could help me out where is Lost Lake ??? or Lake Makoma located at trying to see location of Marc I based on above....can't find their location?

Joe,  Thank you for replying so fast.  We are located about 3 to 4 miles south on 220 outside Laporte.  We have a Dushore address but a Laporte phone number.  The entrance into our housing area is the old 220.  Let me know if you need anymore information.
ok thank you!
I saw this, too.  It seems they will do everything to thwart the progression and FERC approval.  Generally, once a line is in place wildlife seem to enjoy the open space.  I've seen deer, turkey, and bear roaming on the ROWs.

another new article yesterday on the marc I pipeline

http://thetimes-tribune.com/news/business/study-proposal-could-drag...

AGAIN it is the have nots wanting to disrupt things for the haves. Also down state cannot stand that upstate PA has and will have more riches than they. drill baby drill. Also I beleive it could be negotiated that the ROW be planted with wildlifed friendly grasses and plants
thanks for the link to that article in times leader. Interesting. We have our home in Cherry Twshp a few miles from where the Marc  line is supposed to come by Foleys corners. If they dont have approval yet, according to that article, are they just coming through Lake Makoma area to survey for now?   We just saw a map yesterday of were the Black Line is now supposed to go thru north of sullivan county line. AMS pipeline rep came to get approval for surveying across our property in the Curtin Well unit as well as review of pipeline contract. the Black line route crosses rt 220 just north of Harney rd in albany township , to connect the wells from east to west...Delima well and those wells west of it. Then there will be a connecting pipeline running South to the curtin Well, it will run thru behind Laddsdburg winery south to well pad in cherry township, Sullivan county . These aren't projected to be done until Sept or later of 2012.
Any updates on the Marc I line?
This was a very interesting and informative article.  Lots of political maneuvering is going to occur in the next few months.  I am not at all happy to hear eminent domain being raised again.  Thanks for the post!
