to gunersey county and started here till I retired . Back in 62 I went in to MidOhio for the frist drivers  school and raced till 1971 . Bugeye  H/P  .Bob where did you live than and now .

And I thought this thread was dead ...
Well got to talk about the well , that's it, back the the car talk , join in .

OK.. I had a '64 Impala, burgandy with black rag top, 327 with (I think) 275 heads and Hurst four on the floor... paid $300 for it and drove it for 3 years .. sold it for $300 .. then there was the '52 Triumph hard tail .. but thats another story..

Now I drive a deisel Beetle.. what happened ??????

I only wish you could buy cars off the back of dealership lots like we used to in the old days. Remember some of the stuff you could buy for 50-100 bucks back then -WOW! I remember going into a Ford dealership in 1968 and having a salesman price out a brand new '68 mustang fastback 428 cobra jet loaded with oil cooler and all-$4200.00 retail!!!!.No way I could have bought one but it was fun.Gosh, we grew up in such a great time we just didn't realize it back then.
We apparently grew up in the same area. I grew up in the Bath-Richfield area, lived in Akron and Stow. Moved down here in 1988 and live between Pleasant City and Cumberland.
Did you work at Akron cars on State rd ? I started my shop in Akron on peninsula rd  in 67
