I'm new to "gomarcellusshale", as well as new to this business.  We have a 152 acre farm with "Clinton" gas wells which supply our needs.

We've been approached by Fossil Creek Energy Corp (FCEC) for $50/acre, 12.5% Royalty, and $10,000 if a well is drilled.  We are sitting on the Utica Strata.  I've carefully read the lease and am very suspicious of the terms.  We are consulting attorneys.  I don't see any members from Noble County..and some interesting notes from Guernsey which lead me to suspect the FCEC lease.  Can they broker a lease after signing "cheap"?

We have news of ARTEX Oil offering leases in our County, they're out of Marietta.  Any comment on FCEC, ARTEX, and my suspicions would be welcomed!

George...the hillbilly ref. was spoken in jest among neighbors and not directed towards anyone. If offended...I apologize. Now where's Robert...Come out, Come Out, Where ever you are!
Trust me folks this is just the beginning..keep up the good work, we need each other..thos is a form of democracy at work,if I may say so!
When I started this discussion, I had no idea where it was going other than I didn't know squat about the subject and only was looking for an answer or two. Almost everything I know about Marcellus and/or Utica is from you guys and the resources on this site. One of the o&g's we talked to kinda dissed this site to which I say, how could I talk to you intelligently if I don't know what this site has taught me?! So my message to y'all is keep learning and to the newbies who join, and say some stupid things, give them some space! And thanks to all who have contributed!
Well said Mark. This site has been a wealth of information for me. Sometimes we have to weed out some bull from landmen in disguise or folks with agendas but its usually easy to spot after being on here for awhile, I have found this site to be an invaluable resource. Thanks to all that contribute....
Now Mark....are u calling me a newbie? I might have to take offense to that remark! lol :-)
Nope, wouldn't be that presumptuous! Lol!

Robert, I wouldn't worry too much about this. I don't think Kasich will allow anyone to stand in the way of progress.

It appears that the original writer of this story couldn't back up his statement regarding the oozing bubbles in cement line.......all heresay!

Anyone know of Noble County people who are NOT in the following townships who have had good offers?

Noble County people who are NOT from these townships:

Noble township, Beaver township, Wayne township, Buffalo township, Seneca township, Center township

I would have listed the other townships, but I don't know all of them.

Thanks!

Christiane, are you part of the KWGD group?
Yes. That was the reason I was asking. We're in Enoch Township. The news is depressing.
Boy, am I glad I went with the KWG__D___ Group to recieve what everyone else received in the group.  So nice of them to split it up.  Thanks to the folks at KWGD!

Remember that the KWGD bid/offer is a snapshot of where things were on Sept 15. This whole siuation is very fluid and new players surface almost daily. What is thought not to be valuable now may turn out to be hot next year as wells are drilled. Keep an open mind and evaluate your options. One of the good things about the KWGD process is that you can withdraw all the way up to you sign the lease. If what is currently being offered does not meet your personal needs/expectations you can wait and roll the dice for something better. Good luck with whatever you choose.
