In all the various posts, forums, and discussions I ave in the last couple of years here, I don't recall any discussion of bringing in a wildcatter to have your own acreage drilled.  I have no idea if such a thing is doable for a fracted horizontal, but have any large landowner out there explored this option?

Procter and Gamble in Meshoppen Pa. has done several for their own use, I know thats not quite what you mean they have deep pockets but it could be done...
Yeah, not quite.  I know it probably wouldn't be too big a deal to hire a wildcatter to drill you a shallow Clinton-type well, especially if just for your own use.  However, a 5-6 million dollar well that would need pipeline, maybe separation, pumping, etc., and then marketing - that sounds to me like a whole different animal.  Just wondering if any had ventured down that road, then turn and ran the other way, or actually made it happen (or know of friend/neighbor/relative who did).
