I have contact information for Rex. Do you have any contacts for Williams Drilling. I am also interested in pursuing the possibility of leasing our ground in New Alexandria
Due to the Rex/Williams joint venture in Westmoreland, it doesn't matter which company you contact they work together 50/50. If you sign a lease with Rex, then Williams has the right to participate in the lease for up to 50%. If you sign a lease with Williams, then Rex has the right to participtate in the lease for up to 50%.
The landman for this area for Williams is Bruce Smith 337-988-4898 (works for Thomas Development.)
1 heard through the grapevine that a land agent for williams has been contacting the property oweners around the pandora road area. i signed with rex energy over a year ago. recieved a royalty check this week for my 5 acres from a horizonal well that rex put on line about 2 months ago.williams has a joint venture with rex. williams was to start at the beginning of the new year. are you from westmoreland county?
Frank, I heard the same thing about Pandora and Panizzi road. The bonus offer is much higher than people were offered a year or two ago. I'm just on the other side of 982 in New Derry.
i'm out by new derry sportsman club, where all the drilling is going on at the moment.rumor is that williams was offering those folks around that area 2,000 an acre. i signed with rex about 2 years ago for 200 an acre.a few years back some of these people were signed for 10-20 an acre, that was before this marcellous shale and horizonal drilling came on the scene.
Frank - I am near Panizzi and Pandora road. I am negotiating with Williams right now. Who is drilling out near Johnsons Spring road before Otto's? Is that Rex?
I know of at least one person who was offered 2500/acre and 15%. As of right now, there is no drilling near me, but there are huge compressors going in. Drilling is planned, but seismic testing is either still being done, or has just been completed. From what I hear, they said it could take 6-9 months for them to come up with a plan.

The property behind me, from what I hear, signed with Rex in December. They will never have to work again. I don't know whether to contact them myself, or wait for them to contact me. If the landmen are smart, they are reading these forums...so I don't want to put out too much info out in the open. Once there are active horizontal wells near my property then my mineral rights are worth more to companies-as long as the wells are producing adequately.

Frank did your royalty payments start yet?
yes i got a royalty check from a well thats only been on line for 2 months out here on johnsonspring road. the compressors you mention i think are down around the old bergaman farm. their was 2 existing and rex got a state permit to install 2 more
On my way home from work I took a ride out your way real quick...I have never seen those sites up close. Are the big red tanks water? I didn't go down johnsonspring...just up superior and around to atlantic. Wow! what a mess! I hope they plan on fixing the roads a little.

Carol, as far I have been told, REX/Williams are the only ones drilling horizontal wells in our area. I'm not sure if anyone else is drilling shallow wells in the area currently. I wouldn't doubt it though.
red tanks store water that they use for fracing the wells , approx 3-4 millon gals per well. they recover about a quarter of this soulition, and recycle it. rex had a large resiavor built on atlantic road area, lined it with plastic and bought millions of gallons from derry water co. i have no wells, no pipe lines, no horizonal boring under my 5 acres, yet i am eligable for royalaties. as far as the eyesores everything will be backfilled and seeded, some tanks and meters will be permenant. i live on 193 johnsonspring road. next time by stop in. p. s. the twp has the roads bonded i think.
Do you know how big your production unit is? How many acres? I am just trying to figure out when the landmen will be around my way. Did they come to you after they signed the larger property owners? sorry for all the questions....just trying to get an idea of a time frame here.
