Here is the latest Google Earth map of Utica wells in OH.  You will need Google Earth installed on your computer to view it.

Can you narrow down where your property is for me, how many acres, address, etc. I'll see if I can find an old plat map. Ultimately a newer plat map from the courthouse and knowing exactly what parcel you own would help I think.

Nate...As much as I appreciate the offer, I don't feel comfortable releasing the amount of details publicly in which you've specified.  A link that can be viewed by the public is what I am seeking, I will say that I'm interested in the Harrison Township area.  The plot thickens in our situation...I must be careful what is discussed from this point.  I hope you understand my predicament, once again...I so appreciate the offer.

Kim, you can find all the well info you want here... http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/tabid/23583/Default.aspx pick the "Oil & Gas Well Locations" this will open another page that you have to click "Accept" and another page will open with the well finder. Narrow it down to your county then township.. zoom in to your area of interest. Then you turn on the layers you want on the right side of the page.. "Wells" should have a check and a black dot. Then.. you can view the well card and at the bottom of this you will see some .tiff or .pdf files you can download..

Steven...Thank you, with our connection I've encountered numerous problems at this site, especially pdf files.  I need actual plat maps that clearly show perimeters of the units.  I just got done reading an article from the ODNR regarding the difficulties involved and the many inaccuracies that are likely throughout the years of documenting.  I will attempt once again...I have tried several times.  Thanks so much for your help!

Kim... My connection is poor also but I can usually get anything I need downloaded. I would think anything from the 1980's should be in the record. I assume you are looking for vertical well permits and they would just have a legal size page showing the unit size and dimensions. This would be included with the other permit pages .. within the .pdf file.  If you still have trouble just send me a PM with some details and I can locate it and forward it to you.

Drill Baby Drill...I have a plat map in my hands as of last night, received in the mail courtesy of the gentleman I spoke with at the ODNR-Oil/Gas division.  My neighbor brought over another plat map that he received from someone else.  It is a little more detailed, seems the two might contrast each other somewhat.  I'm hesitant to say much more on our situation as this unravels.  I still may take you up on your offer if we can't figure this out.  Thank you...DBD!
