My parents signed a lease with a No option to extend addendum attached. After signing they were told that additional paperwork was needed and a copy would be sent. But, when they received their copy the addendum had been removed. Is there anything that they can do?

David,
Did your parents receive a copy of the agreement and addendum which they signed?
Contact the landman, advise the terms of the agreement appear to have been changed without your parents consent. If the lessee is unwilling to accept the negotiated terms, request that the original agreement be voided and returned to your parents. If the issue is not resolved to your parents' satisfaction, contact the lessee's land manager to discuss the issue.

Thank you.
I wish my parents would have insisted on a copy at the time of signing but the landman told them he needed to finish some formalities, and would mail them their final copy. He removed the no option to extend addendum from their copy which had a list of 36 addendums provided to them by their lawyer and which was also sent by email to the landman by their lawyer on the day of the signing. The list of addendums is signed and dated, however each individual one is not.
Their lease has since been sold to chk and my parents don't think there is anything they can do.
It's just unfortunate that this was allowed to happen. There must be others!
Thanks again
David
