Does anyone know of a link to a website that describes the timelines of other shale plays so that we can maybe get a better idea of how the Utica may play out?

i would think that the size of the utica would make it hard to compare. also the bakken is in the middle of nowhere . the developement would be faster there. here we are up to our necks in fracktivists.

Is Ohio really that bad with anti oil field people? I worked a job up there about 2 months ago and it really wasn't bad. Alot of people visiting location that had never seen a rig before, but they didn't give us any problems.

The Utica will be slow getting off the ground here as there is simply not enough rigs in the area to drill that fast . Some one the other day posted a rig count in Ohio of like I think it was 21 rigs?   If it takes a month each  say to drill a unit 8 months in drilling due to load limits =  168 wells.  If the process is to speed up someone will need to build some more rigs.  Then we have the logistics of building pipelines, compressor stations it will be a while.

I've gone on the Eagle ford forums and you still see a lot of people looking for leases so I guess it does take time.  Theres a lot of land to drill and only so much time.
