Payment cancelled by Shell

Has anyone else had this happen? The title to my property had no deficits (according to the Cambridge Office). I called Amegy bank today to see when the check would be sent and I was told that it was “cancelled per land department directive”.

I called Shell in Cambridge and they have no idea what is going on. Any thoughts?

i am new to all this sean. if u would please direct me as to how i can check if my lease has also been recorded.  i am in the same boat as everyone. i expired yesterday and nothing.

Did you call Amergy Bank Draft Dept at 1-800 979-3161 to verify that your draft is on record?  They will tell you what day the draft expires and what the status of your draft is (whether it has been paid or sent back). Did you call the manager at Holland to ask about status of lease? Did you call your landman?  Please let us know what you find out.  I would not panic....

i just checked at the recorders office and my lease was recorded dec 12. my draft expired april 23. what do i do next. thanks

Call Holland Land Service and/or Amegy Bank. The ph.#s are with your lease & bank Draft papers. Your bank Draft was probably cancelled, Not your lease. Shell has been telling folks everyone will be paid in 10 days.Now it will have to be by check. Everyone who has made the calls got the same answer. One guy had his lawyer make the calls, same answer!

That is the same thing that my landman told me, expect a check within 10 days of the expiration of draft.  I am assuming that the check will go my bank.  Thanks for the information and the update.

Were you able to get any information from Amegy as to when they were going to pay you?  You have been waiting since Oct of 2011. I don't blame you for being upset!

My draft expires on the 15th, I have been waiting for months also!  Should I expect payment by the 25th?

i just called Amegy. they told me that my payment would be owed may 2nd. so thats 10 days after my draft expired

Does that mean you will get paid on that date?
