There's always been differences between Southeast and Southwest Pennsylvania. From soda to pop and yinz to yous, the two regions have stood apart since, well forever. But a new group formed in the Delaware Valley is hoping to change that...at least when it comes to Marcellus Shale.

Here's our latest guest post from Greg Matusky on the group he helped form to educate Delaware Valley businesses on the growing Marcellus Shale industry, how they can get involved despite being outside the shale zone, and how they plan to separate fact from fiction in their local debate.

Couldn't agree with you more. Especially in regions outside of the shale play because those tend to be the most misinformed on what's actually happening here.

My hat is off to this group for taking the initiative to make this effort. More of the landowners, business people, and anyone who benefits from areal and regional economic growth should be recognizing that the nuisance puppy (anti-gas movement) which has been biting at their heels is growing into a Rottweiler and will need suitable force to reckon with and face down.

Hopefully, there will be enough effort, based upon logical thought, fact, and common sense, made by the pro-gas side to overcome the mis-information, pseudo-science, and lies being freely dispersed by the anti's. I, for one, whole-heartedly believe that there will be.
