The Falb well was finally issued a permit on 6-29-2012.      FALB 30-13-2 8H

Hopefully we will have plenty of updates on this well as time goes on. Congratulations to the people of that area.

Calla, where did you find this permit?  Been watching for it for some time.  Also, a set of stakes are now visible on Renkenberger Rd ( approx 2-3 miles NE of Falb Well on Kelner Farm. (1/2 mile East of Rt 46) Heard anything in the wind re a well on Renkenberger?

Click on reports, and then permit & plug list.

Hopefully the Witmer well permit will be following shortly.

I was reading another thread about how Chesapeake numbers their wells. 1, 3, and 5 go Northwest 4, 6, and 8 go Southeast.

If that is accurate, that would put this well to the Southeast.

The Witmer well is supposed to be at the corner of Germantown Rd and West Garfield Rd.  Almost due East or only slighty SE.

SE would make some sense if Chesapeake is just trying to spot some wells to see what's in the area because the Witmer well supposedly can only go to the NW.

I was just told that there is an online site that named all the landowners in this unit.  I had never heard of this and I not sure if it on the ODNR's site, Chesepeake's, or some other site.

Is anyone familiar with this?

The only mass list of names I have ever seen is at the Mahoning County Recorder's website. It is a mass list of lease transfers from Chesapeake to a third party. The Vindicator has also taken it upon themselves to publish the names, and Townships of everybody that has leased their property.

If there is a website that lists properties in a drilling unit, I would be very interested in seeing it.
