I'm aware of a few acquaintances who have gotten their checks through ALOV...One last name started with an 'H' and an 'S', so if it was alphabetical order, then that wouldn't make sense...

If you have heard of those who have gotten their check, please fill us in on the details of how.....Was it first class mail where you have to sign for it, or was it simply in the mailbox?   Any details would be appreciated...I know the people I know didn't own alot of acres, if that means anything..

Perhaps those details are out there, but I just haven't seen them...

I was wondering the same thing.  I haven't heard of anyone receiving it, but with my bad luck I'll probably be the last name on the list, since I live so far north!

Still here!

I am here and still waiting.

I work in downtown Warren.  The title searchers are still working like mad.  I spoke to one who said BP told them all title work must be completed by 9/15.  Looks like they are almost down to the wire.  I have not heard of anyone receiving a notice of title defect.  I too am still here and still waiting....

Dave thanks for that info. That is the kind of info this site is about. I am glad BP has taken that stance if it is true. Calms my fears a bit that they are not going to walk away from some parcels.

Great news.

no problem.  I can't confirm the 9/15 deadline.  Just what one title searcher said.  Many of the title searchers are from Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana and other southern states.  They have been working constantly for months.

I did the best I could to search my own title for defects as far back as I could go (I have spare time at work somedays).  You can search online here http://records.co.trumbull.oh.us/  It might give you a heads up for potential problems.  I didn't find anything and am hoping I'm correct.

Search deeds from your ownership backwards noting names and dates of transfer.  Then do same thing for leases and such.  Might take your mind off of the constant waiting.

I agree.  Thanks for the update.  You hear all kinds of rumors in the community and it's nice to have a place like this to go to for actual information.

i live in bristolville and i received my check about three weeks ago... delivered by fed ex .... i called the customer care number in the bp brochure because some friends of mine was just left on their neighbors doorstep..fed ex is suppose to require a signature...so when i called the bp number and explained that to them..they called me back in a couple of days to tell me when my check was being delivered and fed ex had to have my signature...

Theresa..would you mind sharing the number that you called?  I've called a couple of different numbers and haven't received a return call from them.  Thanks!

I know someone in Vernon just got their check today....It was a good amount.....They signed up the same day I did, so they must be coming out to our areas......

I emailed BP yesterday morning inquiring about bonus payment.  This is the reply I received today..

The checks are being processed based on when the title is cleared to the property.

Because our deadline is approaching, you can expect to receive either a defect notice or a bonus payment anytime between now and October 1st.  Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with an exact date/time your will receive either because of the volume amount we are currently processing.  However, thank you so much for your patience.

BP is extremely committed to meeting these deadlines and I assure you we are working diligently to get the checks and defect letters out to our landowners.

Thank you for posting this information, Dave.  I really appreciate it.  :-)
