I'm aware of a few acquaintances who have gotten their checks through ALOV...One last name started with an 'H' and an 'S', so if it was alphabetical order, then that wouldn't make sense...

If you have heard of those who have gotten their check, please fill us in on the details of how.....Was it first class mail where you have to sign for it, or was it simply in the mailbox?   Any details would be appreciated...I know the people I know didn't own alot of acres, if that means anything..

Perhaps those details are out there, but I just haven't seen them...

no problem.  Tho it apparently means more waiting and wondering.

Any information is better than none when you're waiting.  :-)  Communication is the best way to keep anxiety down.

My next door neighbors got their check today...yay them!!! :)

Checks are showing up , be patient, this is the real deal. I know three friends that have got checks in the last week with more than 10 acres. congrats to all involved!!!

As much as I usually don't see eye to eye with fang, I must say the way alov played off the "all or nothing" pitch wasn't right. Alov said they would not allow a company to cherry pic leases. I feel the bp deal may have been to a disadvantage to those with "prime" acreage. All bp has to do is sighn everyone for the comprimised price and not pay the land they don't want. Lease says if bonus is not payed by the due date the lease is void. Does not state any ramifications for this action or if it has to be with reason.

Hope I'm wrong but it would be legal and smart of them to do.

The only way BP gets out of paying is if the parcel has a defective title. That agreement keeps them from Cherry picking.

Dan, You are right on this!! ALOV (Trumbull group) lawyer Alan Wrengler backed this up in a statement in this months issue of the SHALE SHEET!!! Some of the the landowners  that signed a lease with shale investments fund l.l.c.(HALCON) will be disappointed.

I don't need to re-read the lease , they have a separate agreement signed by BP to that affect.

Wrong as usual...

This is tricky.  Group deals represented by lawyers usually need an "all or nothing' approach, because the attorney is repping everyone, not individuals.

Anyone heard of someone that got paid that signed in May? Thanks...

Still waiting here.........

Yes I do, as I signed up the first day available, and a friend of mine has received their check a few days ago..
