Has anyone gotten one (lately)?

I have been accused of being a "landman" in the past, but I am here to say I am anything but.

I am supposed to be getting a check on the 19th....HOWEVER,  I haven't gotten my "dollar in the mail" or a returned contract with lines through it either. I contacted Ron Miller (landman who held all the meetings around here) and he basically blew me off. I went to the office in Jefferson, and got a run around doublespeak politician style.

I am not signing an extension, unless they give me an extra bonus check like I read about here on the discussion board, and then I still may not.

I want to know if ANYONE has gotten a signing bonus check from ANYONE.

Also, who is a paying company that I may sign with in another week?

So, what say you?

At some point I hear they will be looking for more acreage,  no idea where yet. You are in the same boat as me,  too far north yet. When the big time seismic testing starts in our area then get ready..

Hi,

would you have the contact info for BlackRidge. We have signed with Wishgard, but after waiting since March and one extension (that expires tomorrow), we are looking for another company. We are losing our home and needing to find a company with a good lease contract that is paying so we can save our home. If anyone has any company they can suggest that would be great....

thanks ...calling him now

Futhermore, I more then two weeks ago demanded that Wishgard release my properties of record, for failure of payment many weeks ago,  and they have done nothing. I hope I don't have to hire an attorney.

My experience is that Wishgard simply ignores demands for release.  The difficulty with the kind of leasing arranging Wishgard typically makes is that Wishgard can tie up your mineral rights for the original lease term (sometimes five years) without paying anything.  It's tricky, but if you signed a "Confidential Exhibit B" that was supposed to pay the signing bonus and a "Memorandum of Lease", chances are Wishgard filed the lease memo eventhough they had paid nothing.  No one will touch your O&G rights if the lease memo is of record.  Don't wait until Wishgard assigns your lease to talk to that attorney.

I received one check in June for some Geauga County leases but was told that I would not be paid for the Ashtabula Leases. They want me to " hang in there until they find a buyer". Face it, they are broke!!! The only way I would extend with them would be with a very large, cash, deposit. Otherwise, wait on a real energy company to do business with.

My plan exactly. No more wishgard.
