I live in the area and wonder if anyone knows if the well is finally up and running after being tied up in the courts for several weeks. We have 38 acres and signed a lease a good while ago which was way too early I think.Being close to the Ohio border, is it true that it is the wet gas? I have been told both ways.

Yes they are. I heard there were some initial problems with the casing, but they must have been worked out.

Does anyone know who is fracking the well?

Based on the trucks and signs I saw, it's Weatherford.

Could they be done fracking the well or did they run into trouble?Does anyone know?

I don't think anyone really knows at this point what is going on.

I hear fracking lasted less than 2 days. Is that normal? They were supposedly there 7 days total, but actual fracking was less than two days. Anyone know?

Thanks Frank!

I did see in the paper that a judge has ordered the lawsuits settled & closed so that can't be the problem. I just passed there and the gates are still closed.

Seems they fracked and did not get the flowback or flare. I thought that was all one process. Are you or is anyone aware if this is common practice here? Wonder how long before they come back and do flowback and flare.

I also saw that there was a settlement.

Thanks Frank and no I don't know anything about the process and the well sits well off the road and behind houses so I can't see much of anything. Do you or anyone know about how long it takes to do the fracking.

Generally speaking, fracking takes two weeks.

They were there for 7 days, but fracking only lasted 2 days. Lots of odd things going on there. They only drilled it to HBP so they didn't have to pay those people any more money. Wonder if that is one of the wells being sold to Chevron?
