Last nights meeting was more informational than anything else. The focus was to try to recruit more members to make their acreage more marketable. It really doesn't sound like they have anything for my area of interest (Sunsbury) yet. They mentioned they would be doing some clinics in the Northern Monroe area to help people look at old leases and help them (no fee will be charged for this service, but I don't know what level of help they will give).  The link below is where they always post meeting times and places.

Dr. Bob Chase gave an interesting presentation on production from some of the Utica wells in Ohio. Also, answered drilling specific questions. They did mention that Coal mining is still an issue in certain areas of both Monroe and Belmont county.

So nothing ground breaking last night and no mention of any deal for Sunsbury Twp last night.

I spoke to this woman back when this group was started , she's not looking for friends , just a

big pay day . I was less than impressed , 1 year commitment -- pass on that one !

Be careful  going it along with the buyers , get legal advice . You can get help for less than

4-5 % .   Good Luck !!!!!

Happy , do you think that the o-g companies are going to get the best deal  for there company or the landowner ?

If you haven't noticed there are a lot of folks that wished the would have done there homework .

The land men are out to get there best deal for there employer !

Land groups are not a bad word so long as they gouge they landowner .

Well Happy , I have dealt with this industry before and let me tell you

you can't put a price on PEACE OF MIND !

I disagree with you on the law degree . Everyone has there talents like the

lawyers .

When I'm sick I go to a doctor - when I'm making a life changing decision on

my farm i go to a law firm .

Who ever goes it along and is happy with there decision that's a good thing .

To each there own ,,, only time will tell ,,,

IEB ,

 Very good advice .

My comments are directed toward those who haven't leased or have experience in this process . I do and just want to help our fellow landowner make a educated decision .

You need to look at this transaction as a business deal and know what to .

These folks that are buying the leases are out to get there best deal and have

a mountain of experience at it .

I look at the buyers as just that , I'ts not like you are going to be good friends

after this and have beer together .
