The way he words it the big bad Oil and Gas co. pays this tax. The word has to get out and stay out there that most leases have the landowner paying it. IMO only the newer leases have the wording that forces that tax onto the big co.
People with a 12.5 net lease will seriously be effected by this tax IMO.
