Dan,

Very interesting article indeed. From what I took from it is the same types of backslash is going on over there. However they claim that "fracking" will pollute and cause their drinking water to be nonexistent. Read two articles on the internet that pertained to the pollution of waters in Western Pennsylvania. Both were the result of a water hauling company illegally dumping the fracking water in a water way. Report that an oily substance was flowing on top of the waters and they, the DEP traced it to the specific water hauling co. Things like that are going to put a hault to drilling. Last I knew the company was heavily fined and made an example off. Good thing is that most all of the producers of natural gas are taking extreme measures of doing everything safely and by the book. Nice to see other countries adopting the United States methods of extracting these natural resources. Were leading by example and other nations are following our lead. We can be energy independent and provide many jobs on all aspects of the energy field for many years to come. Absolutely beautiful if you ask me.

Ryan,

It is great to see our freinds around the world take our lead toward energy independence.  The more resources extractable through out the world the less any nations have to fight or be held hostage to get them.  Maybe even NY will take notice of the UK's rational reasoning and desire to improve their economy.  Probably more NIMBYs in NY then the entire UK though.  The UK hasn't seen nearly the amount of push-back that we have had here in the US from the anti crowd.
