I've been studying the unit maps for the Heasley, Ambrose, Lasinger and Holy Trinity Units and noticed they pretty much cover the area SouthEast of Butler. If you draw them out on a map, the Heasley and Ambrose units are to the North-East of SR 356 and Holy Trinity are to the South-West of Saxonburg road.
The area between 356 and Saxonburg road, with the exception of the Lassinger unit closer to Butler is not in a unit yet so I started looking at recent lease signings. Judging from the 30+ leases recorded over the last month, it looks like XTO is planning to put a unit in that would include the Saxonburg road area between the Kemar plan and Summit church. Most of the larger acreage areas are signed in this area and the last bunch of leases are all for smaller lots.
It'd be intresting to know if permits have been approved and the proposed well location in this area. Anyone have an idea of timing and how long it typically takes from folks signing leases until they are put in a unit. I'm assuming the units are assigned before the wells are drilled??

Jim, you could try calling the Township Office. Ask them if they have had or are planning on having public hearings related to any of the Gas Companies trying to get permits for that area. You could ask them if they have issued any permits and where. I my case I have found the Township Office has been very helpful.
