I just talked with the leasing office for Shell in Butler and according to him Shell is still in their "exploring" phase in Butler county. They are trying to find how far east the wet gas line goes. He said once they have a good feel for exactly what's under our feet, they will start putting units together like crazy. They are already putting some units together around Slippery Rock and are signing pipeline agreements for 2 pipelines. One going northeast and one going southeast from what I think is the Tennesee pipeline close to the Patterson well in Lawrence Co. He also said that Shell is an extremely conservative company which is why they put a hold on leasing everything in sight like they did over the past couple of years until they have a better feel for what's down there. Also the competition from other companies has dried up so they aren't being pushed to lease.

Matt,

I am almost sure there is no oil at them two wells.  There is no pump jacks.  I am guessing they meant to say NGL's.

Thanks for that info Matt, those wells are fairly close to our acreage. According to the site in the link below, the Blauser Well was drilled in 2007. If you click on the well name in the list, it shows production numbers for the well similar to what you mentioned above. It shows condensate & oil numbers.

Maybe they get their numbers from the DEP, but its interesting anyway you look at it.
