There is a place and use for solar panels; remote monitoring stations, pool pumps and childrens science projects. When panels are put in proximity to others property, the risk of vastly excelerated building material failure due to increased UV rays and voided warranties on your siding, roofing and coatings are just some of the potential problems. I recently had a blacksmith tell me you could mylar foil an old SAT dish and get enough heat to forge metal above it. Any extra reflected radiation aiming at a building is added to the normal radiation hitting it at that time.
