If you google Amaco-svetz you will find a coring from Somerset Co which goes 4 miles deep.  While the Utica shale seems to not have much value for gas and oil, directly under the Utica shale is the point pleasant shale which does have gas potential similar to the Marcellus.  At about 4 miles depth is the Nitanny shale which seems to have potential for oil and gas.  This is unusual since oil would not normally occur at such depths.  I am told that this coring is from the Kingwood area but I do not know that for sure.
