Phillips Well Is Being Flared

Drove by the site today - looks like a giant blowtorch in the sky.

Must be a lot of gas, because there were three flares at the site.  There is one main pipe and two smaller ones right beside it.  I heard two weeks ago that Halcon is estimating about 100 barrels of oil a day from the Phillips well.

They better hope for more than 100 bbl/d.  If there aren't additional liquids in that mix they could be in very, very deep trouble.

I was surprised myself when I heard that estimate, because I have heard Halcon has been pleased with what they have seen from the area (western Mercer/eastern Trumbull).  Time will tell.

I also heard that they were pleased with that part of Trumbull/Mercer.  Now the NCL field...well, I'd start playing with the put options on HK stock.

Thanks, Steven.  Just found this on the Venango Co. site.  Said it was from yesterday @ 4:30 from the Phillips site.

That was probably a picture from Saturday, since it was raining yesterday.  The two smaller pipes to the right of the pipe with the flare, also had a flame, albeit, smaller than the main one.  Either way, impressive site and hopefully, that means good things for us in Trumbull and Mercer counties.

That sure doesnt look like the flare i seen at hilcorps well  CLL1 in poland ohio it was 40' feet or more and sounds like frieght train on steroids!
