I know of a few locations for the planned "appraisal wells" that BP is planning for 2013.  Vienna, Hartford & kinsman.  Does anyone know of other locations and if they are only vertical for test - can they be drilled horizontally for production later? Thanks in advance for anyone willing to help us learn.

Morrison test well site is now under pad construction.  It is the only Bp test well I know of west of mosquito lake.  Dozers and excavaters moving quick today.  St Rt 88 and North Park.

Thanks for your post MJ.

Joseph,

Your response is appreciated sir.  Trumbull county is quiet here lately.  I will keep watch and continue to post what I see and learn.

MJ - Any updates on the Morrison well?  I saw that pad construction was still underway a couple of weeks ago.  Any information would be appreciated.

Eric,

Rig has been there six weeks or so.  Still there - NW lateral 3100" I believe.  Drilling unit is under 180 acres.  Not 100%

Sorry - I was referring to the Lennington - oops.  Morrison pad looks like it is ready for equipment.

Morrison has a SE Lateral by BP America - According to the ODNR

My Mother told me that one of her co-workers received a letter in the mail from BP that they are planning a well on or under her acreage. I'm pretty sure she has a farm in Johnston, north of Rt 5/88 on Rt 193. I'm not sure how far north on 193, but I think it's between Johnston & Gustavus. I don't know any details other than that.

Amanda, Bp hot spot seams to be Johnson township. They are going door to door wanting leases. A coworker of mine had a meeting last week with a BP rep. and he was told he would be in a unit this year. He lives close to the fire station on 88. BP rep also told him it would be about  three years before this well will have pipeline.

There are pipelines being put in on 5/88 right now from the well on 193.

John, Would this pipeline be for dry or wet gas. Bp is planning a well on 193 not far from 88 that will have a s.e. lateral.Bp rep also told my coworker that his royalties will be  $380.00 per month per acre if you want to believe it(I,m not sure what to believe ). I would guess this is based upon core samples from the Lennington well on 193.

Don't let the people on the general forum hear that royalty number.  They'll accuse you of all sorts of skullduggery.
