I don't think there is much going on in Clarion County. EXCO did two pads with a well on each near Shannondale. One is still waiting to get a pipeline to it. Seems they lost interest, and moved to Armstrong County. My farm is part of a unit, but as far as an "offer"....not much, when you're held by production, they got you. I can't speak for the northern part of the county, but, I know some people in the field and there isn't anyone I know working in Clarion. Armstrong yes, Butler yes, Jefferson some, Clarion no.

What does this mean for Clarion County? Just wait or just forget it?  We are held by a 5 year lease with EXCO but EXCO is in Tioga County not in Clarion County.  IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH CLARION COUNTY?

Just keep waiting, it will be here in time.

Has anyone gone to the local meetings in Clarion?

I have 50 acres in Marion Twp., and they are not leasing there either.

Rich R, I hope you are right!  Some of us are not getting any younger though!

I would love to see Clarion County landowners have the opportunity  to organize WITHOUT large lawyer groups taking profits from any future bonus payments or royalty.  Like a 'Friendsville' type of group or even a Fryburg I group where everyone with acreage to lease gets together and organizes into a group of like interest with some good people at the helm.

Does anyone know of amy such groups in Clarion?

To those who have attended the CX Energy meetings,do  you think this group is really trying to bring in the engery groups to our area?  I'm suspicious after all their trouble in Mercer and the 'cherry picking' that went on there.

Clarion County and its landowners could use a economic boost especially since the gas seems to be there!  Wet or Dry?

Just say CX. using the word energy infers that they produce energy...

OK, I agree.  But more importantly, are there landowner groups in Clarion County who are non-profit and organized?

If you do hear of any such groups I certainly would be interested
In getting together.

The Fryburg group leased all their Marcellus rights a couple years ago but did not lease their deeper rights, including the Utica. Last month, they agreed to have Cx/M & P represent them to market their Utica rights. Because of that Cx/M&P now represent over 30,000 acres in Clarion alone.  They are getting some serious interest.
