What about Halcon?

Not hearing much about Halcon, how are they doing in Trumbull and Mahoning counties?

Unfounded comment?  You mean giving my opinion on something?  Because that's sort of what this entire website revolves around. 

And your questions were not really anything that haven't been answered before.  Nobody expected IP numbers from wells that are resting, so there's that.  The two other wells reported numbers and then magically HK washed away those numbers in this new "update".  It's not really an update if you're going to give out less information than the last press release.  And the fact that you took my statement about two specific wells to mean anything more than just that is not my problem.  Know why I think the Allam and Phillips wells are gassier?  Because I have the numbers showing gas production and it's higher than expected.  Especially Phillips.  That was really low on the oil/condensate number and we (collectively) thought there would be slightly better numbers up that way.  Nowhere did I condemn HK and their entire lease position.  Jesus, I bought 2,000 shares of their stock because I think there's value there.  If it drops below $5.20 again I'm buying more.  So, that's all I have for you.

Given your previous comment about IP rates not mattering, your obsession with IP rates for Phillips and Allam being "magically washed away" is quite humorous.  In my opinion, an IP on Phillips wouldn't be accurate or useful at this point because the well needs lift equipment.  Once that is in place everyone, including you, will get a chance to weigh in on the well's productive future.  Right now, the consensus from everyone is that the well is a disappointment.  Regarding the Allam well, touting an IP rate on a shut in well is useless information and would tend to mislead people rather than enlighten them.  That's all I have for you.

Man, you have a really hard time grasping this stuff.  IP is of little value to me.  To others--say, fund managers, institutional investors and those that have actual sway in the market--it matters a great deal.  So removing that number--arbitrary or not--from a report is not a good sign.  I know this because pretty much every other successful E&P gives you these numbers and rams them down our throats (even when they're misleading).  The fact that HK doesn't do this is suspicious to me.

Really? Has he/she admitted that?  If that is the case then his comment was probably more "talking his book" than being objective.  Nevertheless, let's see what he has to say.  It may be compelling.

If Halcon isn't looking west and North in Trumbull County to drill some wells, does anyone know if BP would be more inclined to try it?  BP and Halcon are the only ones that I am aware of that bought acres in northern and western Trumbull County.

It'll take more drilling in various locations to derisk the field and delineate its potential.  Patience.

Susan,    BP will be drilling a well in Greene this year and one in Mecca, and are currently putting up a rig to drill in west mecca on 88 just before north park. BP has alot of land leased in Northern Trumbull.

Craig, Rig is getting ready to be put up on Morrison.  Equipment and cranes are there today.  Rig MO5.

You seem to have a lot to say about Trumbull and Mercer Counties O/G Progress.  I have greatly appreciated your insights over the past six or eight months or so.  Your literary style comes across as bold and crass at times.  I see you have been put on the warning wall.  Please don't take me the wrong way - I respect a person who tells it like it is - with no politically correct BS. Yes or no man!  Thanks for you input and for keeping us informed without "bias"
