Halcon lease signing in Venango County again

wet condensate, processing plant and  pipelines going in, new leases being signed, sounds positive to me

What if anything is happening in Venango in regards to leasing? If there is leasing going on in Venango, in what townships is it occurring? Venango site has been deader than a dead cat as I noted several weeks ago. I am wondering if Rainbow results when that well is ultimately drilled may tell the tale of what is to come?

Does anybody know any of the specifics of the leases that Halcon is offering?  Are leases being offered to the entire area or just around the proposed wells?

leases being signed/negotiated around drilled/proposed wells for 3500/18.5%. Don't know how far out they are signing or other specific lease language.

The Allam well was reasonably good as reported by Halcon and seems to have encouraged the company to proceed with Rainbow. Does anyone know when Rainbow is scheduled to be drilled? I think Halcon's  efforts to connect various wells via pipelines in both Mercer and Venango Counties is a good sign. I love the name Rainbow. I hope there is a big Pot of Gold for a great number of landowners who l hope will be offered leases after Rainbow is drilled and  results are available. It is possible and very much hoped that Rainbow will be better than Allam  if only because drilling in the Utica seems to involve a learning process no matter what O&G company is drilling the well. Having nothing new of substance to post, I can only provide my speculations of what I think may be happening. I do believe that as the year goes on, most all O&G companies exhaust their annual budgets for leasing. If this is so, then even excellent parcels may not receive lease offers until 2014! Overall I am encouraged by Halcon's current activities in both Venango and Mercer Counties.

Sounds very good actually. We signed a very nice lease with Halcon late last year for 142 acres in Polk. Any way to know where the pipelines are being installed?

You can go to the county courthouse (recorder of deeds) and use the county computers to do a search of Halcon.   County personnel will help you if you need help.  You will see the ROWs that Halcon has purchased.   Click on the ROW agreement and you can see the maps showing the pipeline ROW for that lease agreement.
