Have you received an offer to buy your minerals? What State/County/Township are you in?

I'm in Ohio/Noble/Marion and continue to receive offers.  14 so far by mail, and another arrived yesterday.  Post your information and I'll draw a map of "mineral interest".    Have your offers increased, remained constant, or stopped coming?  Just curious, and it might be fun.  Thanks.

Hiker, thank you for putting this together !

Theresa:  You're certainly welcome, it was fun, and we got enough responses to draw the picture.   Although it's definitely not statistically representative, it does tell the story..... and there probably is a more high-tech method to display the information, but I'm an old cut-and-paste guy lol.

I kind of like the "kiss" adage...Keep It Simple, Silly..   :)

CHK is offering non-surface leases in the Guernsey-Harrison-Tuscarawas county area. Anyone know anything more? They are also planning on drilling two sites, already permitted, have pads down, one on 258  (Tusc or Harrison County)  and Dutch Valley property (G. Kimble) on Sandy Ridge SE (Perry Township? Tusc County).  Anyone leased between or near  those two sites?

Newest offer just today- $4400 an acre  assuming 12.5% royalty.  They will adjust upward according to higher royalty.      Bradford County .  from Aracari Ventures.   What I found a little interesting is they verify your interest usually through your check stubs, so this is going out to those already getting royalties.  Can't imagine why anyone would be tempted if they are already getting royalties.

Royalties do shrink over time, obviously to 0 eventually. But I agree anyone with a producing property should be very very cautious.

From what I have discovered production is usually huge at start and drops precipitously in a surprisingly short time. Then levels off much lower and is reasonably steady for 15 or 20 years until it becomes economically unfeasible to continue.

So obviously there are many factors to consider.

But as far as rights go on a producing property my first instinct is to agree. If someone is willing to buy it is clearly worth more than they are willing to pay.

If property is not yet producing then it is only probabilistically worth more and the decision gets more complicated.

IMHO though it is a very good bet that any producing property is worth more than any offer you get. The people making the offers have better info and aren't spending their money just to be nice.

Good points Richard.

Seems high and what legitimate company has email @yahoo.com? I guess not out of complete reason for unleased but I would be very careful before I even responded. Be suspicious that it is just someone trying to measure your interest.

Or Anti-Fracker trying to get you to turn down reasonable offers (and doing a poor job)

That address is to World Gym in Bellaire..

So buckeye royalties is different from buckeye/keystone!!! Which company does this landman represent? Any ideas?
