I saw an advertisement in our Jeffersonian paper (Cambridge, Ohio) by American Energy Partners, (web site) greatriverohio.com advising they were coming to several Ohio Counties including Guernsey (where I live) and that they were interested in leasing my oil and gas mineral rights. I e-mailed them and gave my location and number of acres I had for lease. I have never heard from them although they continued to advertise in my paper for several more days. Does anyone know of this company? Thanks.

I believe this maybe the new Company that Aubrey McClendon set up.....What counties are they wanting to lease in? Thanks, Gary
The advertisement listed Harrison, Guernsey, Noble, Monroe, Belmont, and Jefferson in Ohio.
I've written on a couple occasions and never received a reply either. American Energy Partners / Great River is Aubrey's new company that he stated since parting with Chesapeake (we have leases signed with Chesapeake in both Carroll & Harrison Co.). They are working on becoming established in the area and should liven up the leasing atmosphere a bit. We have over 103 acres in Guernsey and have made contact with a few oil/gas companies without success but are going to go with Landowners Leasing Group to take advantage of their negotiating resources and hopefully get not only a lease, but a good lease. Our property is in Center Township and they also stated that it can be an advantage to contact neighbors or others in the area and the more landowners they have in the area, the better the position to negotiate.
Earlier this summer there were reports about McClendon buying up leases from Enervest in Guernsey, Tusk and Noble counties. Enervest is the most recent holder of my, held by production, lease, but I haven't gotten any official notice of this change as yet. The deal was supposed to be finalized by the end of the last quarter, so maybe it'll be included along with my next $2.00 royalty check.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
