Utica oil window.... What about Marcellus oil window is there one?

All you hear about is the Utica oil window and the wet gas of the Marcellus  what about the crude area of the Marcellus.  Is it tightly held in place like the Utica?

I was told by a landsman that there has not been proven nor is there any interest in drilling in the Utica in Southwestern Pa. When I visited my great grandfathers house and talked with the surface owner, everything they said was to the contrary. They said they have all been contacted by the Oil companies, saying that the Utica shale is there as well as the equipment to extract it. I even spoke with people at the Marcellus center at Penn State who verified that the Utica does indeed exist where our minerals are. All I had to do was to look at a map on Geology.com to see that it was there. Above that in the Marcellus we do have wet wells. Do they really think we would take them at their word and not research this stuff? Debra Pennell
