what a mess.  i have called stat about the missing check of theirs...but they haven't called back.  finally did get the chk check; no 1099 from stat.

thanks for the info......

FINALLY got the statoil check.  it was more than chk and i think they have just 1/3 of my well,....has always figured that way, anyway.

still no chk 1099

Are you saying that for one well's production, you have two different O&G companies paying you and that the 1/3 check net was greater than the other firm's 2/3 production check?

indeed

That is then proof of inflating costs of selling.  That needs addressed.  You have the right to audit.  Are there others in the unit?  If so, contact them.

I am getting the impression this industry is no different than oil when it comes to ethics and fair business practices.

here in Smithfield twp,it is common business practice for Chesapeake to deduct 50% off their check and statoil to deduct nothing, therefore, many times statys check is almost the same amount as chessys .you folks in se Bradford are getting higher flow rates because your wells were put in first and therefore deductions are lower-our wells were drilled later and have the tar choked out of them;thus we have higher deduction rates.

So you are saying they choke them back and compensate for the loss in production revenue by charging landowners higher deductions?

our gathering costs remain very close to the same price everymonth;what determines deduction rate is how much volume per month and at what price we receive for the gas.when volume and /or price goes up,deduction % goes down and vice versa.[this is centraland southern Smithfield twp-Bradford co.,pa.]

Chesapeake are deducting anywhere from 83% - 100% for production costs from our checks.  The unit we are in has been in production for about 19 months.  Chesapeake rolled back what they felt were fair production costs 6 months later and we were told that was because they had won a case in court due to that gray area in leases for 'their production costs.' .

They can do whatever they want and no-one is going to stop them including our government unfortunately.  I have just chalked it off to another 'Fleecing of America.'

toni-you need to let your state reps know you are counting on them to pass hb 1684 which would guarantee you a 12.5% royalty, even without a market enhancement clause.this was always the guaranteed royalty amount until 2010 when the supreme court of pa threw it out;now they are waiting on the state congress to determine exactly what the minimum royalty rate should be.IF GOOD PEOPLE DONT GET INVOLVED,GOOD WILL CEASE TO EXIST!

Don't know about Barbara but that is how it works with ours.  StatOil owns 1/3 and Chesapeake own 2/3.  StatOil's check is always larger and they show 0 deductions (does this mean that when Chesapeake sold the a third that was part of their deal that no production costs were passed on to StatOil?).  When I ask Chesapeake I just get (and I do not use this work loosely) STUPID ANSWERS.  Anyone heard of the rally taking part in Towanda on Friday at the Court House opposing the lack royalties being paid to land owners.

I have contacted Tina Pickett and Senator Yaw in reference to the bill and Senator Yaw repied with a questionairre and Tina Pickett said she was working on it.  Has anyone started a petition for landowners and others to sign?  I had contacted a TV show (report type) in reference to our plight but no response back.  Anyone know anyone who could get some national exposure?
