Has anyone got a handle on what is going on with Great River?

They are without a doubt the most disorganized operation on the planet.

Many leases were signed in Belmont County but most are way beyond the bonus time frame outlined in the lease or the order of payment.

thanks Rick. I don't think you need a release. How many acres?? I guess they filed a memorandum?? Did you try to contact them?? I see they tied you up. basterds

rick what county are you in?? what land group??

Belmont County, 3 parcels not many acres.  They contacted me stated they did not receive are W4 and over-nighted it to me sent it back and have not heard a word since.  I know someone else that signed after me and has been paid.

How long ago did they over-night you. Been doing more research. Paloma has filed affadavit or non compliance and then Paloma paid in about 30 day to land owner.

Rick are you with the OUE group???  The guy you know who has been paid i'm betting it was over 5 acres. Paloma only wants over 5 acres plots as do most all other companies. Easy flip. I know when the companies sell/flip they get about $12,000 an acre.

I really hope they come through. No jobs out there. I need the money and the companies that actually do honor their leases aren't leasing anymore.

my luck is so bad if i bought a cemetery business people would stop dying.I don't get no  respect. he he

It has been about three weeks since I returned the W4.  I was not with any group.  The guy that got paid had less than 2 acres, go figure.

Martin. If you past the deadline. I don't see why not. If they didn't pay you in said time you are free I would think. Do you have over 5 acres?? they have an office in St Clairsville.Paloma 3

Hi Rick,

I too sent them a certified letter and my 30 days will pass on the 28th. Do you have any Gulfport contact information? I want to sign another lease as soon as the property is released.

I will need to look through my notes for contact info.  They were offering 7200 20%.  Problem is  I now need them to release me.  Talking to my attorney there is paperwork I can file to get it released.  Bad part is no one else will talk to you until you get a release.

Yes, getting released could be a problem since it is virtually impossible to talk with anyone within their organization. Do you file at the county court house?

You file with the county court, not sure what needs to be filed.  This is the second time I have been burnt by O&G company. First it was Antero now Great river, I guess (hope) third time will be a charm :)

Yep. My second crash-and-burn too. I signed with Wishgard initially and that went down in a blaze of glory. At least Wishgard had the courtesy to release the property.

Call Paloma. They will take care of the paperwork. You have to  file a affidavit of non compliance. I tried to upload one i have found online. I don't know it worked.
