YOU MAY NEVER GET DRILLED ON... MAY AS WELL SELL...TO US

I heard of some of my neighbors dealing with some of these Mineral buyers and they are trying to talk us out of our future royalty payments by talking down this "boom". Saying it aint as good as it was thought to be.... Maybe they're right. Anyone have any input?

Gotcha..........Mondays are rough...hahaha but i we are on same page!

THINK THAT MAY HAVE BEEN A LITTLE SARCASM...   :)

Bingo!

Gotcha!  Monday is looking better, thought that 1 hour lost had cost all of us.

think about it.. if it wasn't going to be worth anything why would they want to buy them?  People buy rights to make money, not lose out.

We are starting to receive these 'invitations' in the mail. Our lease is up for renewal in Fall 2015.  We live in Brighton Township and see drill sites around us, but nothing is happening with our unit as far as I can tell.  The site are all 5 miles or so away from our property.  Where do I go to find out if there is future plans for our unit?  Thank you.

OK so you are in a pooled drilling unit? Who is your lease holder?

Chesapeake.

If I were you I would ask Chesapeake if  they are gonna drill on your unit soon.. They might tell you and they might not.... I'm still waiting to know if I'm in a unit or not... My lease is up fall of 2016... Any pipeline companies contact you  yet?

No.  Just companies who are interested in purchasing our oil/gas rights.

Be patient and wait for your lease to expire. When it does you should get another bonus or a release.... Unless they put you in a unit and they drill a well on you then, at least my lease says they have to pay my bonus again. This thing is happening so slow because of the pipeline infrastructure.... They can drill a hundred good wells but if there's no way to get the product to market no one gets paid.... Be patient, this land around here is rich with oil and gas. Unless you are old and have no heirs to leave your land then I'd consider selling to enjoy some of the money that this stuff is worth. But if not, be patient and wait see what happens when your lease expires.

Thank you Lance for the advice.  Are people notified by the companies when there is going to be a site in their unit?  I guess I am unclear as to what to expect.  In the 3 1/2 years since signing, we have not heard a word from the company.  I'm sorry if I sound like a neophyte... I guess I am.

Thanks again for your kind words.
