What was all the hype for in Feb. on passing the state law 12.5 %  minimum royalty act law, now it seems like no one mentions it!  What happened to Tina Picketts big speach when so many of us gathered in the cold to have our voice!  Seems like the gas tax and cigarette tax all pass in a hurry, if it was an increase for their pocket it seems to pass fast enought!  One peed off gas royalty owner,

NARO is very active in this fight, we have people in Harrisburg working hard, royalty owners need to contact their reps with phone calls and emails, remember they are your voice.

I emailed rep everett and he replyed saying they cant get it to the floor for a vote because some of  the ones that dont want it are very influential   .so I asked if he could give the names of the ones against it  he hasn't gotten back with me as of yet but I have full confidence he will  ,and we will then have  the ones to focus on cj wyalusing

But you have to contact the people who are your reps, say something like, i'm so and so a voter in YOUR district, if you contact just any rep they will just brush you off, this is a state wide thing.

Well said Doug; an important point.

The Representatives are (or are supposed to be) representatives of their constituency .... they listen (or are supposed to) to the residents of their district.

When you contact your Representative let he or she know that when it comes to HB1684; you hope that they will "dance with the person what brung'em" (you the voter).

I wrote our state rep, no mention of all the opposition on the floor, time will tell but I think its a question of the gas co. lining pockets and if we see the 12.5 I will be one surprised land owner, just my opinion.

The PA House of Representatives are now in recess until September 15th.

More than two months during which our Representatives should be available to listen to the concerns and wishes of their constituents.

We have about ten weeks during which our voices can be heard (on a local level) before the 'chosen ones' head back to Harrisburg.

If you do not make the effort to seek out your Representative and speak out; you should consider that you have relinquished the right to complain about how your Representative might vote.

All IMHO,
