WHY US CANNOT FRACK ENOUGH US NATURAL GAS TO FREE EUROPE FROM RUSSIA?

This is indepth discourse on the issue of exporting natural gas to Europe.  Hopefully interesting enough to distract this site from immature personal postings.  The knowledge held by the members of this site is the reason that most of us spend our time here and some of us are tired of wasting our time.

Russia is headed toward controlling as much of Europe as they are able and natural gas and energy are part of that discussion.

Their is enough raw meat in this article to distract your attention back to educating us less informed members on the future of natural gas.

George, it is going to be Israel that will set Europe energy free from the Russians.  Have you read about the Leviathan NG discovery off the coast of Israel.  The largest recent gas discovery in the world.  It is so big, Egypt gave in to piping it to their new LNG terminal that is idle.

Thanks Ron, I had not heard of the Leviathan Natural Gas discovery.

This is a game changer in Europe, who would have thought that Isreal could be one of the biggest supplier of energy in that area of the world.  Isreal's interest is closer to the United States than Saudia Arabia and other Muslin countries and with our protection maybe somethings might settle down.  Frankly my personal interest is to see natural gas prices economically priced for increased royalties and someday the technology to break the code of the tight Utica and include the property I have an interest producing natural gas and hopefully some oil and to land bank the surface rights into PERMACULURE farming.  Permaculture is sustainable farming without the use of chemicals.  That use of the surface rights might not be as profitable as growing "weed" but some people are tired of eating chemicals and bioengineered food and growing natural food and fruit that tastes like food and is healthy is a better choice and quality of life.  Money is good but healthy is better.

What is happening to Europe is all due to their own liberal, progressive economic policies; and Russia is now flexing their muscle.  Good riddance Europe, and keep your lousy French wine.

I myself am of the opinion that we are too involved in trying to control what happens in Europe / the Middle East / Russia and I'll go as far to write that I don't think it can be done anyway.

From what I see, they do not care what happens here in the Americas other than taking what they can get and wanting what is ours.

I think we need to concentrate on what happens here - not there; and we need to elect people to government that see it that way too.

If we're attacked we respond and prevail.

When the others who survive our defense learn that is who we are things ought to get better for everyone.

To be honest with you I agree with your assessment and furthermore we cannot afford to take care of anyone else because as I see the situation in the United States we are in the process of not having enough money to pay OUR NATIONAL DEBT.  We cannot afford the interest on our debt let alone the principal.  Right now the US dollar is the "reserve" currency of the world we are in the position of losing that status as our dollar keeps shrinking in value.  Google the subject of United States in danger of losing "reserve" currency status and make your own opinion of the situation.

In my opinion owning land, natural gas and commodities and having access to growing healthy sustainable food supply looks a lot better than stockpiling "paper money" that is declining in value and someday might be worth less than fertilizer.  I agree with the above post, we can't take care of ourselves let Europe, Middle East and others including Nato figure out how to take care of themselves, we are broke.

Nature abhors a vacuum, and so does international leadership.  When the strong man (USA) gives up the position of moral leadership, all the evil empires (Russians, Chinese) and wanna-bes (ISIL, Syrian/Iranian/N Korea, Al-Shabob, etc, etc) are more than willing to take that spot, with devastating effects for large portions of the world's population.

What an utter fool occupies the White House, and the damage done to the prospects for freedom and prosperity around the world are inestimable.  Further, the failure to secure our southern border is the recipe for disaster here at home. A pox on Harry Reid / Nancy Pelosi et al, and a pox on the Republican leadership for failing to formulate and commuicate a consistent, cogent, effective response the the foolishness foisted on us (and the world) by this present administration.

No strong feelings, otherwise.  God Bless the USA.

We used to be the "strong man" now we are "broke".  We are being invaded by the south (Mexico) and our national debt is beyone out of control.  We are not who we used to be and are unable to protect the rest of the world.  You are correct about others filing the gap but we do not have the resources we used to have.  Most people do not realize how broke we are, the stock market is telling them we are pretty strong economically but in my opinion it is a false

indicator.  Just my opinion.......
