Another year is upon us and we are all starving for information pertaining to the "gas biz" in our county.

Hilcorp appears to be poised for an extremely busy year.

Shell seems to be dragging it's feet for some reason , even though the Cracker appears likely to become a reality.

Hopefully more infrastructure projects will become known as the year unfolds.

Please share any news with us you may uncover over the course of the year.

Good luck to us all and may 2014 be the year that puts us on the map!

I think their plans were to concentrate on Northern Butler Co in the newly acquired properties, didn't see anything indicating activity on our area of southern Lawrence Co. I don't see how they can keep all the acreage without a JV partner, possibly Hilcorp. As you said, it's gonna be very interesting around here..

Interesting that I've heard from several southern Lawrence County landowners, without existing leases, that Rex landman have approached them with offers. I've gotten mixed responses to what the offers are, so will hold off until a little more clear. Anyone else hearing from Rex, with or without existing leases?

Jon,
Were any of them in New Beaver?
Good to hear from you!

Hey thanks!  I don't have the exact location, however I believe you are correct.

Thank you Jon. I am out here by Yost Farms and already leased (now with Rex). Hopeful things will start happening here in New Beaver! I can't imagine a better location than my place for a well pad! LOL! Please keep us informed if you hear anything more. Thanks again.
Hi Jon! My neighbor was approached a few weeks ago from a landman from Rex. And his lease is done. This guy made an offer of do beleave 1000 per acre and 12.5% Roy. With deductions. And he was told by my neighbor to go get bent! He told the landman minimum was 3250 per acre and 20% Roy. No deductions!! So good luck I hope you get what you want!

According to the New Castle News,Rex is going to start a new pad in Little Beaver Twp. On the Leslie place. I believe this is only a mile or so from the Patterson pad.Hopefully this is just the first of many.
Is that on Leslie rd? Because that is really close to patterson well! I don't even think that is a mile. To be honest!

I believe it is , Rich. Leslie connects Wampum-Mt.Air and Beaver Dam roads doesn't it? This unit must be touching the Patterson Unit , wouldn't you say? If it is a mile , it ain't much over.

Yes Leslie rd to the patterson well is lucky if it is a mile! Mr Leslie the twp supervisor said they were going to put a line from patt. Well due west about 10,000 ft lateral! Down deep! They definitely found something! And I'm gonna guess its in the liquid form!! In black river I think!

I have heard rumors about an oil pocket in that vicinity. Maybe it is true. They did seismic in our area a couple years ago. I ran into the crew chief at that time and he was enthusiastic, saying we were sitting on "lots of stuff".

This is why Roy.% is so important! These are 20-30 yr wells. With four different thick shale plays. We land owners have to be united and educated in the decisions we make. Because they are very far reaching in the affects that they have for the whole community
