Devon Energy wells

Anybody know what's going on with the 4 wells that they didn't plug?
RHDK Inv Guernsey
Chumney Trust Guernsey
J Hill Coshocton
Hershberger Wayne

ODNR has all these wells as status "producing", but nothing is being produced.

Out of the 5 shale plays in the Devon/Sinopec JV I always considered the Michigan play as the least likely to play out. Marathon.....that's imteresting. Any connection to Marathon and the sale of the Ohio wells?

No, just stumbled upon the Michigan info at NAPE. Marathon is suddenly active in the Michigan Basin. I'm not sure if their looking at the Collinswood, Antrim, A1 Carb or others.

A1 Carbonate and Antrim need significantly higher prices to work (Antirm especially, considering the he cost of water disposal needed per well), which means a big company such as Marathon could probably buy out some struggling operators for a song right now.

Any chance Marathon would be the prospective buyer of the wells in Wayne and Guernsey counties?

Guernsey maybe makes sense if the right price environment exists.  Wayne County makes zero sense at almost any price.

Just did some research on Devon in Michigan. Their exploration program sounds so similar to what happened back in 2012/13 here. A handful of wells drilled. Devon proclaims the area DEAD and later plugged everything. Now a MAJOR comes in and buys into the JV. I bet the the people leased to Devon are encouraged now.

Recently, in the last week or so, MFC was going around trying to sign up the unleased landowners here in northern Ashland county. With this gasfrac attempt going on, maybe they might know something positive. All the leased land in our area was taken on by Devon.

They only offered $20 acre. I told him it wasn't enough. Of course, he didn't have a copy of the lease. LOL. I believe he mentioned about 7000'. What's at that depth? Rosewood?
