When the McClain is drilled and leaves it will be one rig. I don't mind, we are putting the house and property up for sale later this Spring or early in the Summer and don't need all the traffic we were crushed with last year while we are trying to sell.

These oil companies should be absolutely ashamed of the amount of litter and roadside trash on Putney and 513.

Just noticed that on the ODNR website it is showing two of the McClain legs in green.  I called up the summary report and it states that those two legs (3H and 5H) are now "plugged back".  Not sure what this means as "plugging back" is usually done when they have a problem with an obstruction, OR they are abandoning the leg.  I certainly hope that the latter is not the case.  Does anyone have any further information?

UPDATE : Just talked to Chesapeake and they told me that this was done before they went horizontal with these two legs.  He also stated that the ODNR site is slow to update and they have since drilled out the plugs and gone horizontal.

They are as of today still pushing pipe in the ground. I live close enough to see the pipe in the magazine.

I have a question for the group at large.

For months now, I have seen the new structures and tanks and pipelines being built up on the hill behind the Lions Den right at the 513 exit of I70.  Anybody know what that complex is?

That's the Borton gathering facility.

Hmmm, describing the lions den complex could be interesting......haha just kidding.

When I first moved here I heard it referred to as the Quaker City Mall. Have you heard the turkeys gobbling down at yer place ?

hilarious. yes and up north as well. cant wait!

Sure hope they don't have a blow out.

American Energy Partners new Regional office buildings are getting roof installed. 3 buildings going up. All 1story.

Seen seismic people drilling holes & getting ready, if not have already set of charges along Rt. 22 just south of Salt Fork State Park. Actually the've been busy doing this from Buffalo, all the way up to Salt Fork.Dont know what to read into this, but I still think they look at this area as the Super Rich window.. But until Oil prices go back up,Pipelines go in, and the State figures out if they will lease the 20,000 Park acres,it wouldn't be wise to drill. A landowner in Antrim told me Markwest was getting ready to run 4 pipelines across his property. He said they offered $100. per ft., but take that with a grain of horse pukkey.

TGS is putting a sensor in my yard on Putney even though I wont sign permission for them. They told me that the county has used their easement along the road to give them permission. I have not decided if I will pursue it further but I wonder if easements are that open ended or if they only account for matters pertaining to the roads themselves and not commercial endeavors.

I get the sense that they may be rolling the big vibrating trucks along Putney like I saw them doing on Ideal road last week.
