I believe a test well was proposed but shelved in western Bradford County after a Utica well by Shell in the Eastern portion of Tioga County didn't yield as favorable results as the ones drilled in the western portion of Tioga County and Potter County.
I'm not saying the Utica isn't viable in Susquehanna. Until a company ponies up the money to drill a test well no one really knows though. My educated guess is the Utica in Susquehanna holds gas (not much but who knows) but at the current market rate and the added cost to drill that much deeper it is not even close to being on the radar of drillers.
